What I enjoyed from this read....
The novel was the second in the 'Church Gurlz's series and indeed it was a good read just like the first one that will get and keep your attention all the way through the story. If you like suspense then you have come to the right place because I was in awe of it all finding myself even holding my breath a little until I got through that part of the read where I was lead to go from angry, sad and then happy to back a forth depending on what the situation issue was.
The characters were mostly all continued from the first series and were all well defined, developed, colorful and believable. Some of the characters you will fall in love with while their will be some that you will not like. Be ready for a interesting read where there will be much drama that will add to the intensiveness of this emotional read. Even though this series gave the reader a ending, I a still looking forward to the third and last series of 'Church Gurtz III.'' What will this author add to this next series? I found when that author has written another amazing Christian story that I would recommend.

I am absolutely thrilled by this series. There is enough underlined truth to make even the hardest of hearts consider their life styles without coming across as "preachy". I loved Tara's coming into her own as well as the conclusion for Jasmine and Brian. Part 3 is already purchased...can't wait to see what else this talented writer has come up with!
At first I thought the first book would be a way to preach to the reader but in all actuality the author has a way of spindling words in a web of pure genius I would highly recommend these books to any reader. The books give you another look into what its like to live your life day in and day out; from what you were taught and still manage to prevail at the end of the day. Amazing
You can't read 1 and not, immediately, get 2 afterwards!!!! You just can't! Mother won't even let you stop at 1!!!!! She was out cold with hers, for real! She, did, not, give, a, you know what! 2 tied up a lot of loose ends and left almost no drama to continue on in 3, so it'll be interesting to see what new, craziness, unfolds.
I READ THIS SERIES LONG AGO AND RAN ACROSS IT IN MY BOOK LIST.
I THOUGHT I WOULD READ THEM AGAIN, AND I AM GLAD I DID.THEY WERE JUST AS ENJOYABLE AS THE FIRST TIME.NOW I WILL REREAD THE CHURCH BOYZ SERIES.GREAT STORYLINES...
I have to admit, when I read the first book I wasn't too impressed. I mean, the story line was interesting, but I felt that it was dragged out and predictable. I felt that book two started out the same way & was finding myself bored, but thankfully it redeemed itself toward the end........nice climax! I was shocked that Doreen would kill herself to keep from being arrested, and almost thought Karl would get away with his wife's murder. It made me want to purchase book three just so I could see what comes of Brian and Wynton. I'm looking forward to finish the story.
I was also taken off guard b/c this wasn't what I was used to when it came to reading Christian fiction, which I also think made it harder to get into. Now that I've read Mr, Fowler's works, I'm learning that even Christian fiction can have many genres - especially suspense and mystery. Thanks for the lesson Mr. Fowler!
I love both of the Church Gurlz's series. I am anxiously waiting on Book 3!

Oh my goodness! I barely slept while reading this series, it hooked you in from the very beginning, and I am still hanging on for Book 3!
Boy, that Doreen was a trip! Wow!
You have to buy both of these books at the same time, trust me!
First things first.... Doreen is treacherous!!
I have been reading H H Fowler books less than a year and they are to devour and to relish long after the last page is turned. This book / series is no exception. An exceptionally gifted author with a flair for the dramatic. He knows just how to pull it back so that it doesn't seem over the top and is very relatable. His characters are intriguing to say the least and collectively, his stories always deliver...entertainment, a meaningful message and an overwhelming desire to get quickly to the next release! Bravo Mr. Fowler. Doreen was as sinister and calculating as they come. Precious Paul, sweet Brian, redeemable Wynton and Tara, praying Marcia and then there were the liabilities Jazmine and Karl. Even victims can in the end taste the victory of God's grace. It may not be on this side of heaven, but Fowler jeeps it real. In life there is "real" betrayal, decit,love, devotion and greed.
I loved the way the author closed out both books one and two. The sudden cliffhangers can often leave a reader feeling annoyed. In this series, he ties loose ends up nicely and still comes back with more ammunition to complete a compelling tale. I recommend this series.
